Clearwater Lake Shadow creates an artificial shadow within the water to reduce the light reaching the bottom, which in turn will inhibit or halt the growth of weed and algae.
All plants, surface or submerged use the process of photosynthesis to thrive and grow and the whole process relies on red light to drive it. By adding a filter to the pond or lake water you are blocking some, or all, of the red light and the process of photosynthesis is interrupted, with the result of little or no further growth.
Clearwater Lake Shadow contains ingredients that are non-toxic European Food approved items, manufactured from organic sources.
1 Kg will treat 4 million litres of water for up to 3 months.
Clearwater Lake Shadow is supplied in 1 Kg boxes containing 10 x 100g hydro-soluble sachets.
Application methods: By supplying Clearwater Lake Shadow in 100g hydro-soluble sachets it is easy to calculate the number required to apply in any lake or pond. In large lakes, simply throw the sachets in different areas where they will dissolve releasing the Lake Shadow. By spreading the area, the time taken for the Lake Shadow to fully mix with the water is reduced.
We also offer a range of other lake dyes in blue or black that come in liquid form. These are better suited to smaller garden ponds but can be used in larger lakes too. Please contact us for further details.
