Algae Control

More and more customers are finding algae becoming a major problem, possibly due to mild winters and hot summers. Clearwater's algae control methods have been researched and tested by the ICAR Centre for aquatic plant management.

Our treatment cycle covers a twelve-month period, which involves three or four visits to the watercourse.

All our customers that have had their water resources treated for algae see the results we achieve and continue with a maintenance programme the following year. Over the past four years Clearwater's algae treatment has had a 100% success rate under a range of environmental conditions, some of which were particularly malign and always likely to encourage such growths.

As a comparison of treatment costs, Pyrford Golf Club found that our methods cost 60% less than previous efforts using Clarosan — a product now withdrawn under government regulations.

The Clearwater approach is 100% environmentally friendly which ensures the safety of local watercourses and the lakeside, posing no threat to wildlife.
