Sunningdale Golf Club, Surrey

Sunningdale Golf Club, Sunningdale, Surrey — one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the country.
Before
After

The club is in a beautiful setting and the course is maintained to the very highest standards by Mr Brian Turner (Course Manager) and his skilled staff. Clearwater maintain the lakes on the 15th hole on the 'new course' and the 5th on the 'old course'. Both lakes had been taken over with ocodea (Canadian pond weed) and algae.

This was cleared and an algae control treatment carried out with the water becoming much clearer. Typha bull rushes and water lilies (nymphaea 'Hermine' ) now make the lake attractive to the eye. Many different species of wildlife can now be found thriving in the lakes including fish, water birds, newts and grass snakes - undoubtedly helped by the improved water quality.

The lakes are regularly maintained and a keen interest is taken by club members.
