Victorian Sunken Pond, Sutton

Clearwater was contacted by Sutton Council concerning a Victorian sunken pond. The pond had been left for years and was an eye-sore. The pond contained all sorts of rubbish from shopping trolleys to road cones. The pond's surface was thick with lemna minor (duckweed).

Work was carried out which uncovered beautiful brick work around the outside of the pond. This was shot-blasted and returned to its former glory. All rubbish was removed and the duckweed was then treated and oxygenators were planted to restore the water course.
